Experience - Client/ Key Transaction

Lead the defence for an Indian Pharmaceutical listed company in an International Commercial Arbitration governed by the ICC Rules, involving a claim exceeding INR 100 crore.

Successfully represented a large multinational corporation before the Bombay High Court in securing interim reliefs including deposit of the claim from the defendants in India under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, wherein the agreement is government by Belgian Laws with seat of arbitration in Brussels.

Represented an Indian pharma company before a Commercial Court, successfully defending it against an Interim Application that sought a status quo order on its property.

Represented a leading Non-Banking Finance Company (‘NBFC”) in recovering outstanding dues from a borrower company in an arbitration, successfully securing an Interim Award for the full amount before the trial commenced.

Successfully represented an Indian tech company before the Supreme Court of India in setting aside the order of the Bombay High Court dismissing the appointment of an arbitration under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Leading the Public Interest Litigation before the Bombay High Court seeking establishment of regulations and guidelines for governing the online sale of tickets for major events following the sale of Coldplay tickets fiasco.

Successfully represented a leading NBFC in India in securing interim reliefs under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 before the Hon’ble High Court in terms of an appointment of a Court receiver taking symbolic possession of the office of a stock broking company against a INR. 90 crore debt.
