Biography & Introduction

Amit Manubarwala, an esteemed Senior Partner, of the Firm, bringing over two decades of extensive experience to the firm. Amit specializes in a wide array of corporate and commercial matters, including M&A, Joint Ventures, Strategic Alliances, Private Equity, Compliance, Succession Planning, and Real Estate. His profound expertise spans advising both foreign multinational clients on optimal structuring options for their acquisitions in India and Indian promoters on the sale of their businesses to global entities.

With a remarkable portfolio, Amit has been instrumental in guiding numerous international and domestic private equity funds, financial institutions, multinational corporations, and Indian conglomerates through complex M&A transactions and strategic investments across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, FMCG, real estate, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, food industry, and technology.

Among his notable achievements, Amit has played a pivotal role in high-profile deals including Edelweiss fund’s investment in Sapphire Foods, Google Capital’s investment in GirnarSoft (owner of CarDekho.com), L&T’s divestment of its electric division to Schneider India, and investments by New York Life International India Fund and Abbott Laboratories, USA, among others.

In addition to his expertise in corporate transactions, Amit is renowned for his proficiency in conveyancing and financing transactions. His solution-oriented approach and knack for deal-making have earned him a stellar reputation in the legal fraternity.

Prior to joining VERTICES PARTNERS, Amit held key positions at esteemed firms including Stratage Law Partners, Economic Laws Practice, and Wadia Ghandy & Co. He is a qualified Solicitor and was admitted to the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 2004 after graduating from Government Law College (Mumbai University) in 2002.
