Amit Manubarwala
Amit Manubarwala is a Partner and senior member of VERTICES PARTNERS. He has over 20 years of work experience and specializes in M&A, Joint Ventures, Strategic Alliances, Private Equity, General Corporate and Commercial Strategy/Compliance Matters, Succession Planning and Real Estate.
He has a deep and wide range of experience across various corporate transactional and advisory work including advising foreign multinationals clients on optimal structuring options and entry/investment strategies for their acquisitions in India as well as Indian promoters in relation to sale of their entire business to foreign multinationals.
He has been involved in guiding several large international and domestic private equity funds, banks and financial institutions, multi-national corporations and Indian business houses on various types of complex M&A deals, private equity and venture capital investments across multiple sectors such as, manufacturing, FMCG, real estate, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, food industry and technology.
Some of the notable assignments that Amit has worked on are Edelweiss fund’s investment in Sapphire Foods, Byjus, NSE and Daily hunt; Google Capital in its investment in GirnarSoft, which owns the auto classified portal CarDekho.com; L&T in its divestment of electric division business to Schneider India, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, in relation to their maiden FVCI investment in a group company of L&T Limited; New York Life International India Fund, a Mauritius based private equity fund, in relation to its FDI and FVCI investments in several Indian companies involved in infrastructure, power, pharmaceutical sectors; and Abbott Laboratories, USA, in relation to its proposed acquisition of the entire nutrition business of Wockhardt Limited.
He is also an expert in conveyancing and financing transactions. He is known for his solution oriented and a deal-making approach. Prior to being with VERTICES Partners, Amit has been a Partner with Stratage Law Partners, Economic Laws Practice and Wadia Ghandy & Co.
Amit is a qualified Solicitor and was admitted to the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 2004. He graduated from the Government Law College (Mumbai University) in 2002.
