2019 by Asian Legal Business.
Amit has advised clients in cross-border and domestic disputes before various Courts, including
the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and Tribunals, including NCLT, NCLAT and Arbitral
Tribunals for over 15 years. He has also advised clients on wide range of white-collar crimes
and appeared before Economic Offences Wing, CBI and Enforcement Directorate involving
forensic investigations and criminal liability of promoters and directors of companies accused of
committing such crimes. He believes that litigation is a means to achieve the objects of clients
and not the end in itself. Therefore, unless disputes cannot be avoided from turning into
litigations, he verily believes in giving strategic advice to put the clients in position of strength so
as to arrive at a negotiated settlement at terms favorable to clients. Where however, the desired
results cannot be achieved without approaching Courts, he is keen to represent the clients so as
to put them in the driver's seat in any disputes scenario.
