Rajat Agarwal
Rajat Agarwal is a VERTICES PARTNERS.
Rajat specializes in Banking & Finance as well as Dispute Resolution. He has advised several banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, and corporates both foreign and domestic for debt and equity funding in several listed and unlisted companies on transactions worth more than USD 10 Billion across multiple sectors. Under disputes resolution, Rajat has handled and advised on various high profile and complex matters across jurisdictions including India, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong. He is a versatile legal strategist with a wide knowledge base of procedural laws.
Rajat’s experience also extends to advisory on establishment of various alternative investment funds as well as venture capital firms in India, including one of the first angel funds in the country. Additionally, he has advised specialized funds such as those focused on real estate with respect to their investment in the portfolio companies through issuance of non-convertible and optionally convertible debentures.
Prior to VERTICES PARTNERS, Rajat was with Dua Associates for upto adecade. In the past, he had also worked with J.Sagar Associates. Rajat also cleared the Professional Programme of Company Secretaries from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India in June 2012.
Rajat is also a start-up enthusiast. He is a founding member and sits on the board of Optimoney Technologies Private Limited (PocketATM.com), which is looking to solve the cash availability problem at grass root levels in India.
